Occasionally, using social media could be the answer to these unchanging conditions that we thought were hopeless. A sweet little puppy named Speck had been waiting for a loving human to take him home and provide him with all the love he needed in an abandoned animal shelter in the state of Alabama (USA) for the past year and a half.
The dog would lift his muzzle between the bars of his cage and give a little paw as a hello every time someone passed by. Everyone paused to “shake his paw” and offer him two hugs.
Desiray Miracle-Wilder, director of the Bullock County Humane Society, said it was nearly impossible to pass up the opportunity to greet this adorable and kind little puppy. Desiray chose, on a particularly inventive day, to use his phone to record this strange occurrence.
Speck peers through the bars of his cage, trying to contact the director from the shelter with his little paw. In addition to reaching hundreds of internet users, the film also got in front of Speck’s prospective family.
Even though Speck had to endure hardships before coming to live in a shelter, his gentle and obedient nature remained unaffected by the wounds on his muzzle. His sole concern was making a positive impression on someone.

Introducing Speck! He looks to be a collie mix and is between two and three years old. He’s neutered and has UTD on all immunizations. He is endearing! He gets along well with kids and other dogs! Speck only wants love from humans.
