The small, fluffy puppy was shivering in the freezing snow, fear and anxiety shaking him. When Lunka was a year old, he had no idea why he was exposed to so much brutality.
He was crying uncontrollably, motionless, with numerous cuts and bruises all over his small frame. Maggots were beginning to devour his frozen and lifeless corpse.
Clad in an old cloak, they took him into their arms and pleaded to God to spare his life. They encouraged Lunka to persevere a bit longer, to endure the pain till dawn. Weeks grew into months as days continued to pass.
Lunka underwent extensive therapy, and he worked extremely hard to become better. But despite the unbearable pain and suffering, he persisted.
Lunka was finally able to run and hop on his own two feet after 150 arduous days.
He had overcome all the difficulties, and he had shown that even the most helpless and little creatures can overcome their environment with a little love and care.
He was a survivor, and he would always be grateful for the kindness and empathy that had preserved his life.
