A woman speeds off after dropping a crippled dog without front legs on the side of the road

Police are looking into a report of animal mistreatment in which a Brazilian woman abandoned her crippled dog on the side of the road before taking off. When the event was uploaded online, it quickly became viral and was caught on surveillance footage.

The CCTV footage shows the woman arriving at São Leopoldo in Port Alegre in her white automobile. She let go of the rear passenger door and brought the automobile to a stop. She took a white dog by the scruff of his neck and placed him on the pavement beside the car as a black dog leaped out.

Then she instructed the black dog to close the rear door and get back in the car. The white dog cannot utilize his front legs because they are malformed. The unfortunate dog fell on his face as the woman shoved him away from the automobile he tried to return to it by hopping on his back legs.

The disabled dog was left bouncing behind the car as the woman got back in and drove off. As it happens, the woman’s workplace and the dog’s location are on the same street. After discovering the dog on the street, the spouse brought him to the Secretariat of Animal Protection (Sempa).

The owners of the dog named Tintin left him for the second time in a single day. The man claimed to have found the dog on the street and disclosed to the shelter that it was his, but he omitted to say so.

After being approached by the local shelter to inquire if the dog in the video was Ana Paula Scherer’s dog Berlin, Berlin, who is devoid of front legs, shared the video on her Facebook page. More than 13 million people have watched the video, and everyone is screaming for the ruthless woman to get the harshest punishment possible.

People were informed by Secretary Anderson Ribeiro that a thorough interview, house examination, and family background would be required of anyone interested in adopting Tintin. They will look after him till the ideal family comes along and are not in any hurry to find him a home.

Due to the lack of paws, he frequently drags his neck on the ground. To prevent neck injuries, the adopter’s home should have tile flooring free of cracks and grooves. Conscious adoption is what we seek,” Ribeiro stated.

The shelter claims to have over sixty pets in need of permanent homes and wants to raise awareness about special needs dogs.

Witnesses are being urged to testify by police, who are still looking into the incident. Animal mistreatment carries a three-month to one-year jail sentence as well as a fine. Giving up a pet is never a good idea. Please take your pet to the local shelter if you are unable to care for them any longer. They ought to reside in a caring home.
