An abandoned dog was cruelly tied to a tree and left to suffer a terrible end by them, rather than being rescued

Daisy the hunting dog was abandoned and left to fend for herself after her owner could no longer utilise her. She was living in a dangerous part of town and barely getting by on scraps of food.

A local who considered Daisy a “nuisance” in the neighborhood cruelly tied her to a tree. She was left there for over twenty-four hours before someone contacted “DAR Animal Rescue” to ask for help. Daisy was so terrified, hungry, and lonely that she was comatose by the time rescuer Ermioni arrived.

Daisy was so terrified when Ermioni came over that she thought she would get wounded, even though nobody else had truthfully stepped forward to help her.

Ermioni approached the dog, and Daisy’s worried eyes widened. Erminoni saw Daisy’s fear when she eventually managed to grab hold of her. Its heart was beating rapidly, and she tried her hardest to hug and soothe it.

Daisy was soon taken from the ropes by Ermioni, who picked her up. She was appalled by how indifferent the residents seemed to be to Daisy, simply staring at her. They gave Ermioni strange looks, but no one thought to inquire as to Daisy’s well-being.

Unfortunately, Daisy’s health was not well when she visited the vet. Due to the recent trauma, she experienced low blood pressure, elevated white blood cell counts, and diarrhea. Daisy was able to start over in the shelter only a few days after receiving treatment, though, and she quickly regained her health.

Daisy’s physical condition had improved, but her emotional trauma persisted and showed in social situations. She was timid and avoided both people and animals. She was only further reminded of how lost she felt when she watched other dogs playing. It would undoubtedly take a very long time for mental healing to fully recover.

Daisy was treated with extreme patience by the staff, who allowed her to recover gradually and at her own pace. She started to show less fear over time and even started to slightly wag her tail. Ultimately, she realized she was safe and content, and she joyfully welcomed her second opportunity at life!

She is now settled into her forever home with a level of satisfaction that only a German dog could understand. She enjoys spending time with her family and her canine siblings, and she uses her gorgeous smile to show off how happy she is. If only the residents of the neighborhood where she was once involved could see how contented she is now, maybe they would be more understanding of stray animals in the future.
