Despite all odds, a mistreated puppy recovers amazingly from deep bone incisions caused by a cruel hair tie muzzle

An abused puppy turned up at a no-kill animal shelter with her hairband securely twisted over her muzzle.

Her little face swelled three times over due to the hairband, which was “completely entrenched, it went down to the bone.”

She received “urgent care” from Cincinnati Animal CARE in the US, who took off the hairband and repaired the enormous hole.

The staff members of the shelter named Tiffany after their “favorite eighties pop artist.”

As is common with zip ties, it is assumed that the hairband was used to keep the small dog from barking.

The animal center’s horrifying Facebook posts exposed the terrible extent of the abuse.

The rescue crew described Tiffany as a “champ” for handling her emergency care, and she stayed the night with a medical team member.

A recent report states that Tiffany is “healing nicely, eating and drinking properly” and is under the care of the Good Samaritan who discovered her.

Tiffany’s face is now stitched up and recovering, and her edema has significantly decreased.

Information on Tiffany and her abuser is being sought after by Cincinnati Animal CARE, and PETA has even offered a reward for information leading to an arrest.

At 513-541-7387, Hamilton County Dog Wardens can be reached by anyone with information regarding the event.

Tiffany’s most recent information! “Our amazing gal visited us at the shelter yesterday! Her wounds are beautifully healed, she is recuperating, and she is thriving in her foster home with the loving couple who adopted her.” According to Cincinnati Animal CARE’s Facebook page.

Animal resilience is amazing—this female is a happy, healthy, and prospering puppy!
