This is the tale of a puppy that was taken from a California Central Valley shelter and saved. He lived in a kennel for two years, waiting for the day to come when he might be loved and free.
The moment Lisa laid eyes on him, she knew he was the one.
After seeing an image from Fresno Bully Rescue, Lisa Reilly acquired the puppy, Meaty, and knew immediately that she wanted him to be a member of her family.
Lisa thought of her dog, Kitty, who had crossed over the rainbow three months earlier. She knew he was the one again the moment she saw Meaty sunbathing when she quickly made her way to the shelter.
“Fresno Bully Rescue did a fantastic job from the moment I met Meaty until I was permitted to take him home,” Lisa said.
After Lisa took him home, he was met by his five other dogs, all of whom had been saved and had different personalities, ways of being pampered, and ways of asking for attention.
At home, the dog lover discovered that she had adopted a very happy and photogenic dog. The adorable puppy adores posing for photos and dazzles everyone with his smile.
Thousands of Internet users have fallen in love with her endearing smile.
Lisa notes that the newcomer to the family had a rough beginning, but luckily his penchant for shoes and his disobedience was left behind when they refused to give him food when he asked for it. Lisa said the following regarding it:
When I didn’t feed him on time, he would scold me; he would chase after our puppies and then just walk away, not moving. I woke up to a sea of chewed-up shoes. I won’t even mention his excessive gas usage or snoring. It was truly a treasure.
Luckily, Meaty grew up with his family and his furry siblings, and he is now a very kind, affectionate, and talkative brother.
His favorite thing to do is to behave like a big baby and smile all day long. He is a joyful little dog who insists on showing off his smiles, even when he is sleeping.
Whether he’s resting, sunning, or cuddling up in his mother’s arms, he’ll always have a smile on his face.
Meaty has amassed more than 150,000 Instagram followers, making him a true celebrity. This cute little dog loves to smile and cuddle up in his mother’s arms.
“He just wants to be by my side all the time; he’s a great mama’s boy,” Lisa said.
