The dog, trapped in the tar, mustered all its strength to bark for aid, indicating that it was in distress and needed rescue immediately

In Suwałki, Poland, a weary and abandoned dog rested on recently deposited tar while searching for a warm spot.

Sadly, the dog didn’t realize he was stuck until he began barking for assistance. The dog was barking loudly and pleading for aid, and neighboring workers heard him.

They promptly called Joanna Godlewska, an animal rescuer from the Niczyje Animal Foundation, as soon as they arrived and noticed the dog. The courageous animal freed his nose from the tar, enabling him to breathe and bark.

With the assistance of the local fire and police agencies, animal rescuers carefully removed the dog’s fur. In the end, they were able to remove the dog’s body from the tar.

After that, the dog was brought to the veterinarian for an examination and fatigue treatment. They removed more than a hundred ticks from his body.

After several washes to get rid of any remaining tar on his fur and paws, the dog was treated to a nice dinner and a comfortable bed. Thankfully, the dog began to feel better, and minor head wounds were also treated.

The adorable puppy, Farcik, will stay with his rescuers until he recovers completely and is gradually learning to walk. He will be fully cured and available for adoption. We wish him a speedy recovery and a permanent home.
