During the holidays, we all want to receive a gift that makes us happy. We abandon the practice of establishing objectives to begin the year that often do not persist through the first few weeks of January. The Saint Louis, Missouri-based Stray Rescue of St. Louis pet shelter has to deal with this reality. After spotting a crate with three small puppies by the side of the road, a truck driver got in touch with the volunteers.
The driver claimed that even though he was only observing them from a distance, the puppies were in a terrible condition because he had to continue on his route and they were scared and feeble. The animal benefactors showed up in a hurry.
When the rescuers arrived on the scene, it took some time for them to confirm the information given by the bus driver. Regretfully, they found out that it was a trio of fur puppies that had been left in appalling conditions by a person who had gotten tired of them.
These infants are truly miserable. After being abandoned this morning, they are scared and hurt. “We will do everything in our power to ensure they have a long and beautiful life,” a spokesman from Stray Rescue of St. Louis stated.
Rescue workers took the animals to the shelter right away because of the dire circumstances surrounding their discovery. They were bottle-fed once they were secure.
After regaining some weight and strength, they received medical attention to heal their wounds, which in some cases were still open and infected. The scientists concluded that the puppies suffered a variety of illnesses as a result of this. Thankfully, they are happy and healthy once more.
